Deterioration of existing structures is a major problem throughout the northeast. Repair and restoration of these structures have become a sizable part of Barber & Hoffman's work. Our rehabilitation work encompasses structures such as parking garages, plazas, tunnels, warehouses, and industrial buildings to name a few. The rehabilitation could range from remedial repairs to a complete adoptive reuse of a structure to a historic preservation of a facility.
A typical project begins with a walk through of the facility. Subsequent steps include: conducting a condition survey, appropriate testing, and performing an analysis of the existing structure. From there, possible repair details are developed and probable costs determined. Generally, a report is reviewed with the client to determine the appropriate solution.
