A new two-story, 40,700-square-foot outpatient health center. Bid packages for foundations and structural steel were fast-tracked to meet a tight project schedule. The building facade consisted of precast panels with continuous windows throughout the facade. Barber & Hoffman worked closely with the architect, construction manager, and the precast contractor to ensure proper layout and attachments of the precast units. The facility’s structural framing consisted of shallow spread footings supporting a steel-framed building consisting of composite slabs on deck and steel composite beams. Steel moment frames were utilized to resist lateral wind and seismic forces on the building.
