Oberlin College is an exclusive, private, liberal arts college located approximately 30 miles south of Cleveland, Ohio.  Peters Hall is a three-story masonry bearing wall structure with a sandstone facade constructed in 1888.  The floor construction is wood joists and steel beams.  The wood roof construction is wood rafters and timber-steel trusses. The project included restoration of all interior spaces.

The building was renovated to comply with current ADA requirements, which included the installations of a new stair and elevator.  A new side vestibule was added to the building to make the building wheel chair accessible.

Additional floor space was created to accommodate the College's additional program requirements.  This was done without compromising the architectural presence of the main lobby space.  The roof-level "star-gazing" deck was enlarged and made code- compliant.

Minimal facade restoration was required.  A few stone lintels were repaired/replaced. Minor tuck-pointing was required.  Two new roof dormers were added for HVAC requirements.
