KeyBank is one of the largest banking systems in the
nation. The four-story 197,000 - square-foot building serves as a
part of the bank's main operations facilities.
The floor construction is composite steel beams and girders with
concrete slabs on composite metal deck. The roof construction is
steel roof deck on steel beams or joists and steel girders. The steel
design was economized by utilizing LRFD (Load Resistive Factor Design)
analysis techniques.
Since the building was located over an abandoned and in-filled
detention pond, the foundations utilized a combination of concrete caissons
and spread footings.
