The medical office building is a four-story structure
that was built to allow physicians to have their practices in close
proximity to the hospital. The building was connected to the
existing hospital to allow the patients to both consult with their doctor
at his office and receive medical procedures without leaving the hospital
facility.
The 56,000-square-foot addition is a new focal point for the
hospital. The structural framing consists of composite steel beams
and girders with a concrete slab on composite metal deck. The roof framing
is steel beams and girders with roof deck. The lateral resisting
system is reinforced-masonry shear walls.
