This 105,000-square-foot building had cracked sloped
brick panels as well as cracked vertical panels at its perimeter. A mortar
additive had caused the embedded steel to corrode causing cracks in all the
masonry.
We replaced the sloping panels with sandwich panels of galvanized
steel sheets with insulated cores. The vertical portion of walls was
demolished and replaced with brick masonry facing with concrete block
back-up.
